Why hello there!
I’m Amy VanHaren, and I’ve spent my career navigating the evolving dynamics of human connection—from the brands we build to the friendships that sustain us.
For over 25 years, I’ve worked at the intersection of brand strategy and community, advising iconic names like Patagonia and Amy’s Kitchen. But through it all, I realized the most important thing we build isn't a company: it's a connection.
Today, I host The Yeah No For Sure Show, a podcast where we chat about the beautiful complexities of modern friendship—exploring how we navigate loneliness, build community, and celebrate the transformative nature of friendship in our lives.
My expertise is rooted in the "in-between." As the founder and CEO of Pumpspotting, I turned a personal struggle with postpartum isolation into a maternal health platform that reached 100,000+ parents and shifted the culture at organizations from NASA to Walgreens. I spent six months traveling cross-country in a 40-foot Breast Express RV to meet thousands of mothers, earned a spot on Forbes Next 1000, and even pitched on a moving escalator for Apple’s reality TV show.
Whether building a health-tech movement or growing two sweet kiddos, my passion has always been to transform the often lonely experience of life into a shared movement.
Recently featured in TIME regarding the art of friendship, and recognized by Vogue and Fast Company (World-Changing Idea).
I’m on a mission to connect us as friends, founders, and humans—because whether we’re building a family, a brand, or a life, we were never meant to do it alone.
